HORIZON
Horizon is a debate class where we reflect on current political situations and discuss other topical issues.
Everyday politics is always a starting point, as the challenges of, for example, integration, education or conflicts in the world constantly challenge our society and need debate. Along the way, you will gain more knowledge about society, social structures and contexts.
Our society is constantly evolving and democracy requires constant debate and discussion. Horizon is a discussion class where we try to involve and encourage students to debate. We analyse the different viewpoints of the politicians, population segments and the media as we light a spot on current debates, conflicts or everyday situationsm before taking our own positions in the debate.
Examples of topics that can be covered:
- Terror – why are we afraid?
- Why should the police have more money and the secondary schools less?
- Foreigners – are the Danes tolerant?
- Danish values?
- The holding of the government/parties
- Why pay so much in taxes?
- Is the financial support high enough for Danish students?
