Our trip to Chamonix in France is an experience that combines spectacular scenery, outdoor activities and a taste of French Alpine charm. The trip takes place in late summer, when the temperature is 20-25 degrees and the first signs of autumn appear. Located in the French Alps near Mont Blanc, Chamonix is a world-renowned destination for mountain enthusiasts.

A trip to Chamonix has a carbon footprint of 103 kg CO2e per person. When you arrive at the school, you get the opportunity to make a voluntary climate contribution. The school will double your contribution.
Day 1: Departure. You arrive in Chamonix. You will be greeted by an impressive view of the snow-capped mountains around you.
Day 2: Climbing and Via Ferrata. If you are interested in climbing, Chamonix is the perfect place to try it. There are several climbing parks and via ferrata routes in the area suitable for different levels. It’s a great way to challenge yourself and enjoy the magnificent views.
Day 3: Mountain biking, racing bike and mountain villages. Hop on a mountain bike or racing bike and explore the beautiful trails and woodlands around Chamonix. Along the way, you can visit the charming mountain villages such as Les Houches and Argentière, where you can try local specialties in cozy cafes.
Day 4: Visit the local cheese factory in the French Alps and learn about the traditional way of making good quality cheese.
Day 5: Visit the rescuers in the mountains and learn about what it takes to help people in need in mountainous terrain. We also visit the fantastic lake Lac De Passy wth a view of Mont Blanc, and charge our batteries for the unforgettable hike close to Mont Blanc.
Day 6: Hiking and overnight in the Mont Blanc massif. We start the day early hiking in the Mont Blanc massif. We reach the mountain hut where we will spend the night. There are countless trails and routes to choose from, depending on level of interest. Whichever you choose, you will be surrounded by amazing nature and get the opportunity to see glaciers and impressive views.
Day 7: Glacier hike and journey home. We start the day accompanied by a local guide who takes us out for a walk on the glaciers. We will learn about safety and about how climate change affects the ice. We make the descent back down to the valley. Time to say goodbye to Chamonix before heading home again.
